Interact Update: Rhonda Lamberg

El Salvador Trip
o Rhonda gave highlights of the El Salvador trip which she chaperoned with interact students from Michigan.
o An Interact student who is a freshman also presented at the meeting.
o Interact students presented the soccer ball that the Houghton Lake rotary members signed to the mayor.
o Eli Marra, Heather’s son, also sent a Soccer ball which was given to one child

.

 Drop off Process for Procurements
 An Auction committee meeting took place after the meeting.
 Heather has sent out a calendar of tasks leading up to the Auction to all club members.

 
 

Tom presented his background at Houghton Lake High School and how it led to him starting and supporting the Comfort Closet. He is a 1988 HLHS graduate. He loved being a teacher. He started as a gym teacher and recognized the need by some students who needed clothing and other essential items. Over the years, this was
formalized into the Comfort Closet which is in the High School and provides clothing, toiletries, and other important items.

Kaitlyn talked about the Interact Hygiene Project and Interact Projects. 
 
Happy Cash
