The Rotary Interact Club ran the Hospitality Tent at Tip-Up-Town (TUT) this year allowing the student service club to help those attending TUT stay warm and Interact members share their stories of service to others, both locally and internationally. The students provided awareness of their service trip to El Salvador in March where they will build concrete homes for families in great need. The Tip Up Town Hospitality tent was very successful making more than the total money raised last year in just the first weekend. Other fundraisers include a can drive (returnable cans collected at Vic Bonds), t-shirts sales, and they will be running crafts at the Roscommon Winter Festival. The Rotary Club of Houghton Lake presented Interact with a $1,500 grant that will help build one new home during the Interact trip in El Salvador.
